Dr. Thomas Brandstätt new Managing Director at Lahmeyer International
Since 15 March 2017, Dr. Thomas Brandstätt (50) is Managing Director of Lahmeyer International in Bad Vilbel. In line with the company's growth strategy, he is responsible for the newly created position of Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions of the Lahmeyer Group.
Dr. Thomas Brandstätt graduated from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern as a Business Engineer (Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration). After positions at the TU Kaiserslautern and as a consultant, he started with HOCHTIEF AG, and accompanied the firm from the change of a construction company to a construction services provider.
He was responsible, among others, for the strategy process, and managed company acquisitions and their integration into the Group. These included the integration of Siemens facility management and Lufthansa facility management into the HOCHTIEF Facility Management as well as the acquisition of Vattenfall Europe Contracting, from which the new Energy Contracting business unit was developed. For HOCHTIEF Services Solutions, Dr. Thomas Brandstätt headed the foreign division and achieved significant growth for operative business activities.
In 2011, he changed to Bilfinger and was, among others, division head for North America. Here, he also developed the growth strategy, integrated the company's acquisition in North Dakota, and was responsible for setting up the US organisation. Prior to joining Lahmeyer, he worked as Vice President of Bilfinger Industrial Services North America in Texas.
His extensive international experience in engineering, plant construction, operation and maintenance (O&M) as well as in the field of Mergers & Acquisitions will now be brought to the international engineering company Lahmeyer. Other members of Lahmeyer's Management are Martin Seeger (CEO) and Michael Stephan (CFO).
